28th Thursday  fine cold weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½.

29th Friday  rather fine weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.

30th Saturday  rather a fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.

31st Sunday  A fine cool day  I did my choars was at home all day a fixing my pump in the well fixing fence & a choaring round etc went to the office in evening came home & went to bed at 9  Mrs Robert Millard died at Batavia this morning at Desire Woods.

November 1st Monday  rather fine weather  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.

2nd Tuesday  A fine day  I did my choars went to the office & made up the mail  & went with Pelham to election at 9 & back was at the office till 9 came home & went to bed at 10 nearly sick the whole Naperville ticket elected by a majoretty from 70 to 502, Mrs R Millard was buried today [in margin] election at Garys.

3rd Wednesday rather a fine day  I did my choars was at the office all day came home at 8 ½ and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.”
