Hiram E. Leonard Diary, August 7 -13, 1873

“7th Thursday  fine weather with a shower  I did my choars choared round the office some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick.

“8th Friday  A fine drying hot day with a heavey rain during the night  I did my choars choared round the office some closed up at about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick & worn out.

“9th Saturday  A fine pleasant hot day  I did my choars choared round some at the store & made soap etc closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick  Folks heard ___________ Mrs Stone came in the stage at night.

“10th Sunday  A fine hot day with some clouds & looked like a shower towards night  I did my choars choared at farm sum & fixed fence between me & Pollard & was about sick last night & all day today went to bed about 9 ½ sick.

“11th Monday  fine weather for the season but dry  I did my choars choared round the office closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

“12th Tuesday  fine dry weather  I did my choars choared round the office some closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 tiard & nearly sick.

“13th Wednesday  pretty fine weather with a light shower  I did my choars choared round the home some closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick.”
