Warrenville Inspired Art Exhibit

Did you miss our Warrenville Inspired art exhibit this spring?  View it online at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VPo1-voVpI.   Thank you again to all the participating artists and the support from the City of Warrenville Hotel Motel Tax Fund.

Albright-inspired Artist-in-Residence

Thanks to a City of Warrenville Hotel Motel Tax Fund Grant, the Museum is hosting an Albright-inspired Artist-in-Residence who will create original work inspired by one of the three Albrights who once called our building their home.

During the summer of 2015, west suburban artist Chris Hodge was the Albright-inspired artist-in-residency. From June through September 2015, Chris sketched in the Albright art gallery. Over the course of his residency, he created two original pieces in his black-and-white ink style inspired by Ivan Albright.

In 2016, Downers Grove artist, Maggie Capettini, will be present in the Warrenville community painting landscapes and outdoor “plein air” scenes much like Adam Emory Albright. More information and dates available soon. Don’t miss watching Maggie paint our historic town!
