Hiram E. Leonard Diary, December 7 - 13, 1870

“7th Wednesday  A fine pleasant day for Dec.  I did my choars was at the office all day a choaring round etc closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & worne out.

“8th Thursday  fine weather for December, I did my choars was at the office all day a choaring round closed at 8, and went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick [in margin] Ira Ferry & Miss Briggs was marr today.

“9th Friday  fine pleasant weather for Dec  I did my choars was at the office all day a choaring round etc closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick.

“10th Saturday  rather a fine day for Dec but some cloudy  I did my choars was round the house & started all day a choaring, closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick rested well.

“11th Sunday  A cloudy morning, spit snow about 8, round & snowed all day coinciderable was a pretty stormey day  I did my choars was round the house all day did but little went to bed about 9 tiard & nearly sick with a  cold etc Nelson Stone & D Kenyon called here _________ fine.

“12th Monday  fine weather for Dec  I did my choars was at the office a choaring round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & sick.

“13th Tuesday  A fine day for the season, I did my choars was at the office all day a choaring closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick.”
