Hiram E. Leonard Diary, May 11 - 17, 1870

11th Wednesday  fine hot dry weather cool nights  I did my choars was at the office & choaring round all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick.

12th Thursday  fine hot dry weather cool nights  I did my choars was at the office all day & evening choaring round shut up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

13th Friday  did my choars at the store building was round all day, fine weather but dry & cold nights  closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

14th Saturday  fine dry hot weather  I did my choars at the store was at office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick etc.

15th Sunday  A fine hot dry day  I did my choars at the store was a writing & look over my box etc was round all day & went to bed at 9 nearly sick etc  Joseph Ferry & boy came up to Kenyons & Joseph Hawbecker came up about 4 or 5 oclock.

16th Monday  fine dry hot weather  I did my choars at the store, was in store & choaring round all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick [in margin] L V Ressaguie drove stage.

17th Tuesday  fine hot & very dry day  I did my choars was at the office all day & night choared round closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick etc  Ada Bostwicks wife came down in stage [in margin] Laura Bostwick came.”
