Hiram E. Leonard Diary, February 8 - 14, 1871

8th Wednesday  fine winter weather & snowed dureing the night about 6 or 8 inches deep  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick.

9th Thursday  pretty fine after morning pretty good weather & sleighing  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick.

10th Friday  fine weather for winter  I did my choars was at the office all day a choaring closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick & worne out.

11th Saturday  winter weather & a plenty of snow  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 7 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick.

12th Sunday  A cloudy day & snowed some all day fine winter weather with a plenty of snows  I did my choars was round the house all day fixed the stove pipe etc, I went to bed about at 9 nearly sick & worne out.

13th Monday  fine winter weather  I did my choars was at the office all day a choaring closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick & worne out [in margin] Resseguie went to Chicago.

14th Tuesday  fine winter weather good sleighing  I did my choaring & was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick.”
