Hiram E. Leonard Diary, April 19 - 25, 1871

19th Wednesday  rather fine but cool  I did my choars was round the office all day a choaring closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & sick [in margin] set hen.

20th Thursday  fine weather for cloudy misty damp weather cool  I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 8 [sic] went to bed 9.

21st Friday  fine cool weather for April  I did my choars choared round all day and closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 & was nearly sick.

22nd Saturday  a cool dry for April but pleasant & dry  I did my choars was at the office all day choaring closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick.

23rd Sunday  A fine cool pleasant day & dry  I did my choars was round the house the most of the day  went to Barruses in afternoon came back & went to bed at 9 tiard & sick, Set the 2nd hen. John Strickland & his neace were there.

24th Monday  I did my choars, It is rather a fine cool day & quite dry  I choared round the store all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick & worne out.

25th Tuesday  fine cool dry weather the ground a getting quite dry & grain a suffering  I did my choars was choaring round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick.”
