Hiram E. Leonard Diary, April 18 - 24, 1872

18th Thursday  rather fine weather but cool & dry  I did my choars choared round all day closed up 8 and went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold  John Reynolds daughters was married tonight to a Mr Ed Thatcher at Wheaton  William Collings wife had a pair of twin boys tonight.

19th Friday  fine weather for April but cool & dry  I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 nearly sick with a cold  My wild goos laid the first egg.

20th Saturday  rather a fine day & dry  rained some during tonight  I did my choars choared round some all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick with a cold  Laura Bostwick went to Staffords to stay all night & sent for some of her things  My yearlig heafer calved today.

21st Sunday  A rainey morning & misty forenoon & cloudy damp day & grew cold about noon  I did my choars choared round all day more or less & went to bed about 9 sick  wild goos laid an egg today again.

22nd Monday  fine cool dry weather  I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 10 tiard & nearly sick with a  cold.

23th Tuesday  A fine cool dry day ground dry yet  I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 10 tiard & nearly sick with cold.

24th Wednesday  fine cool dry weather  I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at about 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold  Mrs Emma Anesworth came down here with Mr Pelham today from Wm Anesworth.”
