Hiram E. Leonard Diary, June 13 - 19, 1872

13th Thursday  A real rainey day began to rain about 2 or 3 oclock this morning & rained a most all day  I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ tiard and nearly sick with a cold.

14th Friday  rather a fine day, but some cloudy  I did my choars choared round sum piled wood & closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold etc.

15th Saturday  A fine pleasant day  I did my choars choared round all day piled wood in the forenoon & helped fix my stone door steps at store in afternoon, closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out  Henry Rogers & Frank Hammond went to Batavia to Donahues Quarry they brought 2 stones each & got home a little before one, and we put them down in afternoon  Mr & Mrs J B Clark came to Jonathan F Pollard.

16th Sunday  A fine cool pleasant morning & dry  I did my choars choared round some etc was nearly sick went to bed about 9 sick with a  cold.

17th Monday  fine growing weather but dry  I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.

18th Tuesday  fine growing weather  I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ tiard & nearly sick with a cold.

19th Wednesday  fine weather but dry  I did my choars choared round all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 10 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.”
