“19th Thursday  fine weather for the season but muddy  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ sick with a cold.

“20th Friday  fine weather for winter but muddy  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ sick with a cold [in margin] A spelling school.

“21st Saturday  A cool cloudy day but some muddy  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a  cold.

“22nd Sunday  A cool cloudy disagreeable day  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold  Caroline & Walla went to meeting.

“23rd Monday  fine weather for winter warm  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up about 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.

“24th Tuesday  fine weather for the season not cold  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up about 8 & went to bed about 10 nearly sick  Caroline went to the lecture.

“25th Wednesday  fine mild winter weather  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 and went bed about 10 nearly sick with a cold & folks stayed to _________ Caroline got home meeting 10.”
