“28th Wednesday fine cool dry weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & cold.
“29th Thursday quite fine cold dry weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & cold.
“30th Friday rather a fine pleasant cool dry day I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & cold She that was George Millars first wife was buried at Naperville today.
“May 1st Saturday A cold rainey day & snowed some towards night & in the evening quite a storm I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick with the rheuatmism & cold Several inches of snow fell this afternoon & evening ground white at 9 oclock in evening Edward Galusha got home from California tonight.
“2nd Sunday A cold morning the ground white with snow an inch or two & it froze conciderable I did my choars was round home all day except going to the farm I did my choars was at the house all day & went to bed at 9 sick with rheumatism.
“3rd Monday fine weather for the season but cool I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.
“4th Tuesday fine cool dry weather for the season I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & cold.”
