Weston Virtual Talk

  • Warrenville Historical Museum & Art Gallery 3S530 2nd Street Warrenville, IL, 60555 United States (map)

Today FermiLab sits to our west, but did know that once there was a village there called Weston? It’s short timespan had a huge impact on our community. Warrenville fought off officially incorporating as a city for 134 years and the Village of Weston was one thing that pushed residents to finally vote yes to form a city government in 1967.

Join our virtual repeat presentation of the Lost Village of Weston talk on Thursday, May 13th at 7pm to learn about Weston. Learn about its short but contentious history and how it would become FermiLab, America's particle physics and accelerator laboratory. You can access the live talk at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84405574032 or email us at info@warrenvillehistorical.org. A recording will be posted online for two weeks following. Questions will be entertained at the end of the program and a video recording will be available for Historical Society members.
