Hiram E. Leonard Diary, June 15 - 21, 1870

15th Wednesday  fine hot dry weather  I did my choars choared round the store all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.

16th Thursday  fine hot dry weather the ground verry dry, I choared round the store all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.

17th Friday  fine hot & verry dry weather  I did my choars was at the office etc all day & closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

18th Saturday  A fine hot dry day everything dryed up  I did my choars choared round the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.

19th Sunday  A fine hot & verry dry day the ground verry dry  I did my choars was round home at the store all day choared some & laid down some was about sick went to bed about 9 nearly sick, Redfield camp meeting near Saint Charles, the Methodist Minister & a good many went to it, had no preaching at Methodist Church Ward & his wife she that was Sarah Browne came to Franks.

20th Monday  fine hot dry weather  I did my choars was at the office achoaring round etc cloased up about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick & worne out.

21st Tuesday  A fine hot day & verry dry for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day choaring round cloased up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ Nearly sick & worne out.”
