Hiram E. Leonard Diary, November 7 - 13, 1872

“7th Thursday  A fine cool pleasant day  I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold  Caroline & Mrs Tart walked to Naperville & road back in stage.

“8th Friday  A fine pleasant day  I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick.

“9th Saturday  A fine day  I did my choars choared round some worked some up to other place etc closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick with a cold  J R Grant came today noon & was in store in evening.

“10th Sunday  A fine day but some clouds & looks like a storm  I did my choars choared round some wrote in the evening and went to bed about 9 nearly sick  I worked at the howel at the farm part of the day  Grant came & see me  H Rogers took his cow out tonight.

“11th Monday  pretty fine weather for Nov but dry & cold  I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ sick.

“12th Tuesday  fine weather but cold & dry  I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 nearly sick.

“13th Wednesday  fine cool dry weather  I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.”
