“12th Thursday fine cold dry weather I did my choars choared some round the house & closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½.
“13th Friday rather a fine thawey day I did my choars choared some at the house closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 nearly sick Mrs Stone came at noon & Emma Stone came at 4 oclock I had Rogers & Benjamin Paver kill my hogs today they weighed 257 251 & 285 ½.
“14th Saturday fine day & looked like rain I did my choars choared some & cut up some pork in evening closed up at 7 ½ & went to bed about 10 ½ nearly sick with a cold Rosa Tart came home tonight.
“15th Sunday A cold morning & cool day more warm towards night I did my choars & finished cutting up my pork & salted some of it & went to bed about 9 tiard & about sick with a cold & the rheumatism Mary Tart came home this afternoon from Barbers Corners a young Godfry brought her.
“16th Monday cold winter weather & dry I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 tiard & nearly sick with a cold.
“17th Tuesday fine winter weather but cold & dry I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 and went to bed narly sick with a cold Frenches buck with Wallas sheep.
“18th Wednesday Snug winter weather I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 sick with a cold Melancthon Ferry’s wife died today with consumption Sarah Ford his second wife.”
