“5th Thursday  fine cool winter weather  I did my choars choared round some closed up about 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold.

“6th Friday  fine winter weather  I did my choars choared round some cloased up at 8 and went to bed about 9 nearly sick with a cold.

“7th Saturday  fine weather for winter  I did my choars choared round some cloased up at 8 & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly sick with a cold  Caroline went to Naperville in the stage & got some oilcloth & tin _____ ____ etc.

“8th Sunday  A cloudy raw day & spit snow a little grew cold  I did my choars choared round up to the other house a while & came back about 2 ½ & went to bed about 9 tiard & nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism  Elder Estes of Aurora was buried at Aurora today.

“9th Monday  cool dry winter weather  I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 nearly sick cold.

“10th Tuesday  cool dry winter weather  I did my choars choared round some closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 nearly sick cold.

“11th Wednesday  dry cool weather  I did my choars & choared some round the house closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.”
