24th Wednesday  fine weather for the season but cool & cloudy  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 afflicted with the rheumatism & cold.

25th Thursday  fine weather but cool & cloudy  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold.

26th Friday  A cool cloudy damp day  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & cold  White commenced work on the railroad on the east side of the river on Garys.

27th Saturday  fine weather but cloudy & damp at night  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold  Jonathan F Pollard took his cow out of my paster tonight.

28th Sunday  A cool cloudy damp day  I did my choars was at home all day writing etc went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a bad cold.

29th Monday  fine weather for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism.

30th Tuesday  fine winter weather for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.”
