“9th Wednesday fine growing weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism.
“10th Thursday fine growing weather & pretty hot I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold & the rheumatism.
“11th Friday A fine warm day but cool at night I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold Jasper Batch wife came in the stage this afternoon, they came from Kansas, George started for Kensington to A Campbells.
“12th Saturday A cold cloudy forenoon but cold & pleasant in afternoon I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with rheumatism Caroline & the children went to Naperville to see the shoes etc A E Carpenter got home from Pittsburgh from the Antimasonic Convention Mrs Plummer came back from Garys to Kenyons tonight cleaned church.
“13th Sunday A cool cloudy day & looked like a storm I did my choars was at home all day except going to farm to salt the cattle etc wrote some etc went to bed about 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.
“14th Monday fine weather for the season I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick with the rheumatism Doc A Waterman was taken about this time for defrauding government by false de_________.
“15th Tuesday fine growing weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 sick with the rheumatism.”
