“22nd Wednesday  fine cold weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 not verry well.

“23rd Thursday  fine cold weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 afflicted with the rheumatism.

“24th Friday  fine weather for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 afflicted as usual with rheumatism  William Gloss was brought to H Williams sick.

“25th Saturday  fine weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.

“26th Sunday  fine cool weather  I did my choars was at the house the most of the day writing etc went to the farm after breckfust, went to bed at 9 sick.

“27th Monday  fine weather for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly worne out with the rheumatism.

“28th Tuesday  fine fall weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.”
