Hiram E. Leonard Diary, October 13 - 19, 1875

“13th Wednesday  rather cool cloudy weather  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 as usual finished thrashing on mine today Hoyles machine.

“14th Thursday  cool cloudy weather  I did my choars was at office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick as usual.

“15th Friday  some cloudy & damp  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 afflicted with the rheumatism as usual.

“16th Saturday  A pretty fine cool day  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold etc.

“17th Sunday  A cold cloudy windy day  I did my choars was at the house the most of the day went to bed about 9 afflicted with the rheumatism  The Methodist minister preached today for the first time here Elder Cheina.

“18th Monday  fine cool fall weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly worne out with the rheumatism etc.

“19th Tuesday  fine fall weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 afflicted with the rheumatism & a cold.”
