20th Wednesday  fine fall weather more mild  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.

21st Thursday  fine fall weather & quite warm  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism etc.

22nd Friday  fine mild weather for the season  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism & a cold  Caroline & Willa went to Wheaton for Mrs Ward to get coal.

23rd Saturday  fine mild weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 about sick with the rheumatism & a bad cold  Willa went to Winfield to get stone for Pollard.

24th Sunday  A fine pleasant mild day  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism etc.

25th Monday  rather fine weather for Oct  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with rheumatism.

26th Tuesday  cold raw weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly worne out with the rheumatism.”
