18th Thursday  damp showerey weather ground wet  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold etc.

19th Friday  rather a fine day but wet weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 afflicted with the rheumatism  4 lambs came this afternoon about 4 oclock.

20th Saturday  fine growing weather with several showers  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.

21st Sunday  A cloudy damp day  I did my choars went to the farm & worked till noon was at the house the rest of the day went to bed at about 9 nearly sick.

22nd Monday  fine weather for May & agrowing time  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 troubled with the rheumatism.

23rd Tuesday  growing weather & agetting dry  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 nearly sick.

24th Wednesday  fine growing weather & dry  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 oclock nearly sick  George and the folks worked at the house on the farm.”
