June 1st Thursday  fine hot water  I did my choars was at the office all day  closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 nearly sick etc.

2nd Friday  fine growing weather  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed about 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.

3rd Saturday  fine growing weather with now & then a shower  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with a cold etc  I had 500# dry goods come from J V Fornells arrived today.

4th Sunday  fine growing weather  I did my choars was round the house & office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly tiered out.

5th Monday  fine weather for June  I did my choars was round the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed at 9 nearly tiered out & about sick  Sarah Smith she that was Sarah Bottles was buried at the Junction today  Robert Benjamin called here to see me today.

Robert Benjamin, the Benjamin Family owned a large tract of land around North Avenue in what now West Chicago, the founded the one-room-schoolhouse that would become Benjamin School District 25, which still operates today as the oldest school district in the State of Illinois.

6th Tuesday  fine growing weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 up to the farm about tiered out.

7th Wednesday  fine growing weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 tiered out & nearly sick  Mrs Jones she that was Cornelius Jonses daughter was buried  I think today at the Junction.”
