Hiram E. Leonard Diary, June 15 - 21, 1876

“15th Thursday  cool cloudy rainey weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at about 9 nearly worne out with the rheumatism.

“16th Friday  cool rainey cloudy weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 & went to bed about 9 feeling about as usual.

“17th Saturday  cloudy showerey weather with cool night  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 about as usual.

“18th Sunday  rather more pleasant but showerey  I did my choars was at the house the most of the day at the office a short time, went to bed about 9 nearly sick.

“19th Monday  cloudy damp muddy weather  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at about 8 & went to bed about 9 afflicted with the rheumatism as usual.

“20th Tuesday  cloudy wet weather ground muddy  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 nearly sick with the rheumatism.

“21st Wednesday  rather a fine pleasant day  I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 and went to bed at 9 about as usual  Wm P Griffeth commenced to put up my back house today got it covered all except shingleing.”
