“24th Thursday A verry hot dry day some showers round I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly tiered & worne out the thurmometer was at about 100 the most of the day some cooler in evening & night J A Graves a thrashing today.
“25th Friday more cool this morning & day A cool night I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ nearly worne out commended thrashing at A T Jones today noon.
“26th Saturday A cool pleasant dry morning but quite warme during the day I did my choars was at the office all day closed up about 8 ½ & went to bed about 9 ½ Willard Brands child died about 8 or 9 oclock this evening.
“27th Sunday fine hot dry weather I did my was at the office some went to bed about 9 nearly worne out with the rheumatism etc Brand child was buried today at about 3 oclock.
“28th Monday fine hot dry weather I did my chaors was at the office all day closed up at 8 ½ and went to bed at about 9 ½ sick.
“29th Tuesday hot dry weather I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 ½ and went to bed about 9 ½ afflicted with the rheumatism Showers.
“30th Wednesday fine weather some rain I did my choars was at the office all day closed up at 8 ½ & went to bed at 9 ½ nearly sick.”
